Buying Off A Floorplan

This week, the NY Post spoke to Siderow Residential Group agent Peggy Dahan about clients who “buy off floor plans”.  In the article, they discussed how the opportunity to buy pre-construction is often where real estate investors are able to find large profits. What this means though is that they often are only able to see floor plans of the units they desire and more recently detailed renderings of the building, its amenities and the interiors of the apartments.

As foreign investors continue to keep their eye on NYC real estate and as new development projects often sell 30-70% of their units before the topping out even finishes, the practice of basing your purchase solely off the floor plan will continue to exist.
